Most answers are built into the app: open Settings › Help & troubleshooting. Here are the questions we hear most often.
Is Cloora free?
Yes. Scanning, text recognition, search, sharing and folders are free forever — unlimited scans, no watermarks, no ads and no subscription. Cloora Pro is an optional one-time purchase for extra features.
Do I need an account?
No. Cloora has no accounts. Your documents are kept on your phone, encrypted.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Cloora scans and reads your documents on your phone and never uploads them. They leave your phone only when you share, save, print or back them up. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I back up my documents?
Go to Settings › Backup and choose a folder — for example on your computer or in a cloud app. Backups are encrypted with your password. Keep your backup password and Recovery Key somewhere safe: no one, including us, can recover them for you.
How do I move my documents to a new phone?
Make a backup on your old phone to a folder you can reach from the new one, install Cloora on the new phone, and restore the backup with your backup password or Recovery Key.
I forgot my backup password.
Use your Recovery Key to open the backup. Because backups are encrypted with your password, there is no way for anyone else to open them without the password or Recovery Key.
How do I restore Cloora Pro on another phone?
Sign in to the same store account you bought it with (Google Play or the App Store), then go to Settings › Cloora Pro › Restore purchase.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. On iPhone or iPad, use reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, see Google Play refunds. If a refund is made, Pro turns off and nothing you made with it is deleted.
A reminder didn’t appear.
Check that notifications for Cloora are turned on in your phone’s settings, and that battery-saving features aren’t stopping them. Reminders are a helper, not a guarantee.
How do I delete all my data?
Open the Privacy Dashboard › Delete all my data. This removes everything in one step. Uninstalling Cloora also deletes everything on your phone. Backups you made stay where you saved them.
